ALMS Sebring 12 Hour Highlights – #30 NGT Porsche

Witness the 12 hours of Sebring from the best seat possible, the cockpit, as NGT Motorsports takes us onboard their #30 Porsche for a 30 minute highlight of the exhilarating action.

After winning the 2010 GT3 Challenge the NGT team decided to take their program to the next level by entering the ALMS GTC competition, although they will not compete full-time in 2011. Their current plans are to run the endurance events only which would be Sebring, Laguna Seca, and Road Atlanta. At the controls of the team’s first foray into ALMS are drivers Sean Edwards, Henrique Cisneros, and Carlos Kauffmann.

Despite being new to the series the team made their presence known right out of the gate by setting a new track record of 2:05.678 in Wednesday’s practice session. Their speed would carry over into the race, but everything was not easy going. The video begins with their GT3 Cup Car losing control in turn 17 and colliding with the barrier (strong language at this part). Forcing the team to work all night on repairs and ultimately missing out on qualification.

That setback, along with more throughout the event would not deter the young team. Click through to watch the NGT GT3 Porsche fight through adversity and work their way to a podium finish.
