2013 Nissan GTR Usain Bolt Edition to be Auctioned

2013 Nissan GTR Usain Bolt Edition

The 2013 Nissan GTR which was made to honor the fastest man in Olympic history, Usain Bolt will be auctioned off later this month. The Gold GTR will be listed on eBay and proceeds from the auction will be offered to support the Usain Bolt Foundation, a charity that helps young kids in Jamaica.

The 2013 Nissan GTR will come with the sprinters signature on the dash in real gold as well as bespoke interior finishes in real gold.

The fastest man obviously has a thing for fast cars as well, at one point he also owned a BMW M3, which he unfortunately wrecked prior to the Olympics. However, Bolt was recently resigned by Nissan as “Brand Ambassador” and “Director of Excitement”. Bolt was added to the Nissan team back in June, while Nissan’s new “What if” ad campaign kicked off. Nissan seemed please to continue to work with Bolt, as they promise a widely available “Bolt Edition” for 2013. This special edition will be available for purchase at any location that sells the GTR.

Usain Bolt also spent some time at Nissan’s proving grounds in Japan. There he drove with Nismo race driver Michael Krum. During the driving experience, Nissan also took braking, steering, and telemetry data which will be used to customize Bolt’s very own personalized GTR. More details will be released post auction discussing what we can expect to see on the Nissan GTR Bolt Edition.

The Nissan GTR is an amazing car for the money. Lets hope Usain Bolt does not smash it up like he did his M3s and other cars as that would be such a shame for such a gorgeous vehicle.
