Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series – Laying Down Rubber

The 2013 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series has recently shown whats its made of at the AMG Driving Academy. The AMG Driving Academy session was held at the Circuit Zandvoort, Netherlands. You can see the vehicle really being pushed, however according the video the C63 fairs very well and shows off how athletic a luxury sports car can be. While the matte black finish is my favorite, the car does look quite well in red. In the video you can also see a few other AMG machines being put to the test.

The Mercedes C63 AMG is powered by a 6.3 liter V8 engine that delivers a total of 510 HP and a peak torque of 457 lb-ft. Unfortunately the vehicle will be electronically limited to 155 mph. However, limiters were meant to be deactivated. The video was posted by YouTube user Jorrie2, who has a ton of great videos, so check some of them out.

Unfortunately, if you were planning on buying a C63 Black Series and have not already purchased it, you’re out of luck. Mercedes limited the production to 800 units which was increased from the original planned 650 units due to demand. At the time there is absolutely no plan to increase production further.

Check out the video below, as well as the C63 AMG Black Series commercial.

Mercedes-Benz traces its origins to Karl Benz’s creation of the first petrol-powered car, the Benz Patent Motorwagen, patented in January 1886[3] and Gottlieb Daimler and engineer Wilhelm Maybach’s conversion of a stagecoach by the addition of a petrol engine later that year. The Mercedes automobile was first marketed in 1901 by Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft. ‘”-`
