lethal-performance-shelby

Lethal Performance has recently laid claim to having the fastest 2013 Ford Shelby GT500 in the world. Their custom creation clocks the quarter mile in an impressive 9.3 seconds, with a built 4.0L Whipple and no nitrous. Pics or it didn’t happen? Well, they’ve done us one better and put together a hair raising video featuring their GT500, which definitely sounds just as mean as it performs.

Introducing the Hennessey Performance 2014 Corvette C7 Stingray

HPE-new-2014-Stingray

Corvette has long remained one of the most iconic American muscle cars to date, love it or hate it, the Vette embodies the spirit of true American sports cars. For better or for worse depending on your perspective. Already more than capable stock, the all-new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray will soon become even more lethal once the guys at Hennessey Performance get their hands on it. Hennessey plans to offer two packages for either model, coupe or convertible. Their custom supercharged system is expected to take the horsepower on the Stingray to an impressive 700 HP. However, if you’re looking for hyper-car numbers they’ll also offer a twin-turbo kit that will deliver 800 – 1,000 HP. A significant upgrade to the stock 6.2-liter 450 HP V8.

Ferrari 458 Italia Spider Monaco Edition by Mansory

Auto tuner Mansory has put some of its usual over the top touches on the beauty that is the 458 Italia. They keep the look mostly toned down except for the awful red diamond seats. Mansory prepared this car for the 2012 Top Marques Monaco. Being that Mansory prepared the 458 Italia for this event it nick named the Ferrari “Monaco.” Mansory added a body kit and a lot of carbon fiber which shaved off a total of 132 lbs. Which propels this car to 62 mph in just 3.2 seconds. Continue reading »

Custom Porsche Panamera GTS Done by Anderson Germany

German tuning company Anderson Germany has recently got their hands on the Porsche Panamera GTS. The GTS model of the Panamera is the sedan offering from Porsche that targets the auto Purist. The GTS sports a naturally aspirated 4.8 liter V8 that puts out 424HP, slightly less than the Panamera Turbo which sits at 490HP. Well that was the case until Anderson Germany managed to push the GTS power up to 501HP. Continue reading »

A Ferrari-Powered Fiat 500? Yes please!

Lazzarini Design Fiat 500 with Ferrari V8

To most car people, the Fiat 500 is a cool little car, but we’d rather drive something else. The Fiat 500 Abarth is a little more interesting. But with a $22k+ sticker price, a used Acura NSX sounds better.

But, what about a Fiat 500, that’s powered by the 4.5 liter V8 from a Ferrari 458 Italia? 550-horsepower, in a car the size of a shoe? Perfect, we’ll take two.

As insane as it sounds, that’s just what Italian design firm Lazzarini Design is proposing. They want to stretch the Fiat’s wheelbase by a foot, then shoehorn a detuned (the stock 458 produces 570 Italian stallions) powerplant from Ferrari’s current best-seller, the 458 Italia, into the back. Think; VW Beetle, on crystal meth.

Hennessey Ford GT with Twin Turbos sets World Record

Hennessey Ford GT with Twin Turbos

Hennessey Ford GT scorches the standing mile for a new world record.

In March 2012, a Hennessey built twin-turbo (GT1000) 2006 Ford GT owned by Mark Heidaker and driven by Sean Kennedy set a new standing mile world record when it was clocked at 257.7 mph at the Texas Mile Hwy 324 in Beeville, TX. If you watch closely and believe the accuracy of the time lapsing, it took Sean about 30 seconds to complete the mile run. He hit the ½ mile mark at just under 20 seconds at 204.4 mph and finished off the one mile about 10 seconds later recording the record 257.7 mph speed.

AMS Performance Alpha Omega GT-R Sets World Record

Alpha Omega GT-R

AMS one-ups their selves with the AMS Alpha Omega GT-R

AMS Performance does it again, this time with the AMS Alpha Omega GT-R. The Alpha Omega GT-R recently set the Texas Mile ablaze, recording a GT-R top speed record of 218mph. It also clocks the quarter mile in 8.62 seconds at 173.81mph. I’m still trying to pick my jaw up from their last build in the Alpha 12, and already they’ve well surpassed the records set with it.

Red Hot Mansory McLaren MP4-12C

The Mansory customized McLaren MP4-12C is a red-hot work of art. We’ve all seen our handful of custom modified MP4-12C’s already, but none of which have presented such a radical conversion of McLaren’s supercar. Inside and out, the Mansory MP4-12C leaves no stone unturned, completely separating their selves from the competition, at least in terms of aesthetics and maybe even performance.
