TechArt 2012 Porsche 911 Revealed at Geneva Motor Show

“Ideal by definition” is the mantra bestowed upon the latest TechArt Carrera and Carrera S masterpiece, which was recently on display at the Geneva Motor Show. There’s no mistaking this TechArt Porsche 911 for your run-of-the-mill model either, inside and out this car is truly one of a kind. Decked out in a yellow exterior paint finish with a black and yellow interior, TechArt has brought a unique and boisterous edge to the rather reserved styling of the 911.

Wheelsandmore McLaren MP4-12C “Toxique Evil”

The Wheelsandmore McLaren MP4-12C looks absolutely deadly, “Toxique Evil” as it’s been coined to be precise. The appearance modifications are rather clean, if you don’t mind the offset Trim-Line-Design stripe that runs the length of the car. Which often doesn’t sit well when applied to vehicles with the type of class that McLaren exudes, but Wheelsandmore was able to pull the look off without diminishing the MP4-12C’s sharp, high class appeal. Complementing the stripe are color matched light-weight forged wheels which run 9.0×20“ and 12.0×21“.

ABT Audi AS5 – Sporty Elegance

ABT has a rich history in customizing Audi vehicles for both aesthetics and performance, and they’ve recently brought that expertise to the A5 in what they call the ABT Audi AS5. They describe their makeover as “sporty elegance”, which in my book sounds rather fitting.

“For us, it was important to combine this car’s extraordinary design with our ideas and thus to underscore the car’s character. Its increased performance and its body parts form a unit”, says Hans-Jürgen Abt. The traditional Bavarian company’s managing director is very excited about this automobile. “If you look at the AS5, you want to take in every inch of its marvellous silhouette, and if you sit in it, all you want is to get it on the road. This coupé is really a power pack.“

Scion IQ MR Build

If this Scion IQ looks as though it’s out of its element, that’s because it definitely is. The IQ was simply built for fuel economy and affordability. Given its pedestrian stat line, for example a quarter mile time of 18 seconds, it goes without saying that words like “performance” or “speed” were never uttered during the design and development process of this vehicle. Not to knock it, that’s just not the purpose of the IQ. However, that hasn’t stopped Scion from entering their micro-car into the world of tuning and performance.

Scion has enlisted the help of Tatsu Tsuchida and his team to build a rear-wheel drive midship engine for the Scion IQ. Without a doubt it’s one of the most unique projects that I’ve ever seen so kudos to their team on the excellent progress. Their work is documented in the video below. It’s definitely a stark contrast to how Inside Line handled a similar dilemma regarding the Smart ForTwo.

Wald Porsche Panamera Black Bison Edition

We may as well keep the Panamera theme going, how could we not when the Wald Porsche Panamera Black Bison Edition looks this darn good. Wald International is a Japanese tuning company renowned for their exquisite makeovers of some of the hottest cars from the top luxury and performance manufactures in the world. Wald certainly has a way of making the stock-counterpart look rather mundane in comparison. Their latest work brings the Black Bison treatment to the Porsche Panamera. The Black Bison is your timeless black on black styling, also sporting 22” black wheels with a dark bronze lip.

Hennessey Performance has recently announced that they’ll be releasing a twin turbo upgrade kit (HPE800) for the McLaren MP4-12C.

“We’ve been taking fast cars and have been making them faster for over twenty years,” said company founder and president John Hennessey. “I spent a lot of time around the new 12C at the 2011 Goodwood Festival of Speed and was very impressed. We’re excited to have the opportunity to take a great car and give it our own special performance touch while giving 12C owners a uniquely aggressive appearance”.

Video – Underground Racing Lamborghini Gallardo tops Bugatti Veyron

It wasn’t long ago when the Bugatti Veyron stretched its legs at Russia’s Moscow Unlim 500 track reaching a top speed of 226mph. A record for that track which has now been broken, the new top speed king of Moscow is a twin-turbo Lamborghini Gallardo tuned and modified by Underground Racing. The Gallardo now puts out a staggering 1,500hp and hit 236mph before running out of track. The person who filmed the run also mentions that the Gallardo got off to a bad start and is capable of going even faster. Ride shotgun for 236mph of super-car bliss in the video below.

Kahn Design Porsche Panamera Wide Track Edition

German ingenuity meets British class in the new Kahn Design Porsche Panamera Wide Track Edition. A stock Panamera will elicit all sorts of different responses, you’ll find a lot who will praise it for its performance and style, while on the other hand, just as many have been known to bash the Panamera for its bland appearance and unattractive lines. It’s definitely one of those cars, at least in terms of style, where you either love it or hate it. But, could the improvements made by Kahn Design be the Panamera that gets everyone excited?

JMS Tuning Audi A8 D2

JMS brings a fresh, race-inspired look to the Audi A8 D2 with their new body kit. The A8 D2 was introduced back in 1994 with production ending, for the first generation model, in 2002. With its age and somewhat mundane styling in stock form, it’s not exactly the most eye-catching vehicle that money can buy. Making the JMS kit a very interesting addition for the A8.
