At the conclusion of the 2006 season the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), governing body of the F1 world championship, decided to impose a freeze on engine development. Consequently, it became clear to the competing teams that maximum performance gains could come from aerodynamics, general mechanical development aimed at providing further grip to the cars and developments in carbon composite technology; quite nearly in that order. 2012 SLS AMG Roadster


It’s official now. Say hello to the 2012 SLS AMG Roadster. The SLS Roadster will most likely keep the 6.2 liter engine, however expect a performance drop due to added weight and less structural rigidity. Since this car is competing with the Audi R8 and Gallardo convertible we predict the car will cost around $200K.
